Similar to the Zero advertisement in Toy Machine's "Welcome to Hell, " Mystery had a part in Zero's 2005 video, "New Blood, " where Lopez, Smith, and Lindsey, as well as new pros Dan Murphy and Ryan Bobier, skated to Moby's In This World. Like the boards on which they skated, the part was in black and white. In 2005, Mystery dropped the full-length video "Black & White, " which featured Ryan Bobier, Jimmy Carlin, Dennis Durrant, Lopez, Windsor James, Gilbert Crockett, Lindsey, and Dan Murphy and music from Aretha Franklin, The Chambers Brothers, The Zombies, The Yardbirds, Wu Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard, and Dion & The Belmonts. A few years later, Mystery dropped a promo with a team montage and full parts from Everen Stallion and Pete Eldridge. Eldrige skated to Sean Price's King Kong. Eldridge was Mystery's sixth pro. In the Color Theory years, Mystery turned Tom Asta, Jimmy Carlin, and Windsor James pro. Mystery teased the new video with a clip from Tom Asta skating to Jay Z's Moment of Clarity. Jimmy Carlin, Sascha Daley, Trevor Colden, David Reyes, and Windsor also had parts in Color Theory. The good ol' days of Black Box may have come and gone, but the videos, the parts, the decks (such as this one), and the stoke will never be forgotten. Check out the videos referenced above if you haven't seen them before, and let us know if you have any questions about this deck, a piece of skateboard history.
