Andy Warhol was an American artist in the early sixties, celebrated as a leading figure in the Pop Art movement. Andy Warhol created many works depicting consumer products, Hollywood starlets and a highly publicized series depicting death and disaster in American society. His aesthetic was a unique combination of mediums such as photography and drawings with highly commercialized components revolving around renowned brand names and celebrities. In 1962, he exhibited his iconic paintings of Campbells soup cans.
